What a season for snow activities! With the Polar Vortex and record-breaking temperatures along with unflattering snow conditions on the trails, it has been the perfect time for everyone to put their favorite winter gear to the test. Is the bad snow and cold stopping you from doing your outdoor activities? It hasn’t stopped the Yeti Snowshoe Series!

This year, the Yeti Race included a new category to their multi-day/multi-location race itinerary: the Snow Running Race. This race is for people who don’t own snowshoes or have already tried snowshoe races and are looking for a new challenge. Because there have been many trails experiencing the lack of fresh powder and are only in luck with packed and sometimes icy snow trails, it was a great time for the Yeti Race to add this category to their list. The Snow Running  Race will require runners to be equipped with studded running shoes, micro-crampons or any other traction devices.

Hillsound Equipment Inc. is proud to partner up with The Yeti Snowshoe Series for their inaugural Snow Running Race! There will be some free pairs of FreeSteps6 for runners to use. We are incredibly excited for this event as there aren’t many races that cater to micro-crampon users.

We will be boothing at the new FREE snowshoe demo event at Cypress Mountain in BC on February 15 with some demo micro-crampons.
