Mes botte sont de grandeur 13 et je lais ajuster super bien cest du bon stock
Picked these up at a local shop on my way back from a hike in NH. Had been looking to a better mid range option between slip on mirco spikes and full crampons. Was skeptical about so much plastic but was assured I'd like them. Went for a simple 5mile hike the very next day as a gear shack down nothing too crazy. one thing I was not impressed with was a buckle on the medial side of my boot on narrow sections I was made aware of the buckles as they hit one another. On the return trail the strap broke at it's pivot point on the right boot leaving me with a somewhat useless piece of safety gear. The plate on the underside did keep snow from packing into the sole but the buckle and the failure on it's very first shack down make this a NO go. Money is not the issue I will spend money on good gear but I expect and demand that I can trust my gear; a failure like this doesn't earn second chances with me.
We've both had these these crampons since they became available, and they've completely over performed. Both of us are ten year veterans of snowshoe guiding, and during those ten years we have had the opportunity to evaluate a lot of technical winter products. One thing became clear to us immediately after purchasing the Hillsound® Trail Crampon Pro: just like our favorite snowshoes, these things were amazing. Shoulder season both spring and fall can offer up all kinds of adventure if you have the right footing. Typically, we'll each take a single pole for some added stability on particularly sketchy sections, but on their own they are very trustworthy. And we're talking sheer ice. Like any shoulder season, there are bound to be some bare spots, and we decided early on that we were going to torture test these spikes on anything and everything we could find. We haven't had any failure with them. Nothing. We're going to pick up new pairs of the updated version, as the quick adjustment feature looks like a nice upgrade and we'll have our old pairs to lend out or let others demo them. Over the years, we've become real gear heads and have been exposed to a lot of industry product knowledge. Without hesitation, we can honestly say that the Hillsound® Trail Crampon Pro is a game changer for people who want to get out there in less than ideal traction situations. Even just walking on thin hard pack is an enjoyable experience. You actually forget you have them on. Wish list: BOA dial.
