The Yeti Snowshoe Race March 8th 2014

Cypress Mountain was the host again for the second Yeti Snowshoes Series Race last Saturday, March 8th. It was a wet day, but a committed group of participants turned out for the event. The rain came down just before the race began, but it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the snowshoe racers. Many turned out in bright and colourful costumes- a hot dog and ballerina superheroes among the best costumes of the day. There were two options for racers- a 5km or a 10km run.  You can see the race results here.  Hillsound attended as one of the main sponsors for the day. The team demo’d our range of micro-crampons and a few lucky racers walked away with a free pair of FreeSteps6. It was a great (albeit wet!) event put on by the Yeti Snowshoe Series team that Hillsound was excited to be a part of!
