Pat Malavi

Pat gets slightly agitated if he doesn’t get a mountain fix every few weeks. He enjoys all forms of backcountry travel from hiking, scrambling, running, skiing and mountain biking. He developed an appreciation for “bike-wacking” (bushwacking through dense trees while pushing a bike) during his adventure racing days. Pat competes in ultras both locally and abroad and brings his Hillsound crampons as mandatory gear on every winter run. He particularly enjoys passing snowshoers on slippery, off-camber terrain and is a big advocate of crampons for mountain safety.  Along with two friends, Pat holds what is believed to be the world record for eating an entire roast chicken while climbing the Grouse Grind (the Vertical Roast Chicken Mile).
